Was looking for something a bit different to some things I have, I made a great choice, fantastic cleans and big bold crunches, hours of fun!!

Who wants Dumble?

Well this is it. My Tele sounds full and bold with it. It can do the whole range from clean to OD. Wow this is a good capture. Thx Amalgam.

Simply Superb

The OD-50 Core & Expansion profiles are exquisitely captured. The Dumble ODS sound is simply superlative.  I recommend getting both the Core & Expansion sets & implementing as dual amps in parallel signal chains on the Quad Cortex - each with their own config of amp > 2x12 cab > dual (stereo) IR loader > reverb > output. The sound with the OD50’s SCP + FAT (clean, edge), SCP + FAT/ BAL + FAT/ WARM + FAT (drives 1-3, lead tone, crunch+drive) running in parallel is very rich, precise, and harmonic. There‘s a pleasing texture that emerges as nuance, without stealing clarity from articulation.  Amalgam’s ODS packs are basically what we all wished our sound would be like when we grew up.  The palette offered here is an artist’s dream. Note: the ODS is a hot amp, hard to *fully* tame even at clean. Add the SSS packs to fully round out the ‘pure‘ cleans.

The accompanying IRs are just perfect. It seems incredible that it is a digital product because it sounds and feels real. Karlis, creator of these screenshots is very kind and helpful. Since the acquisition of the TRCK OD50 2017 DI + IR captures, I have not used any of the Quad Cortex stock. (I am very interested in buying also TK IMP MKII 2022 DI + IR) I'm impressed and happy!!!!

A few days ago I tried the free samples of the Marshall, and I got hooked... So I took the 5FOR3 discount and did something good to me. I like the sounds very much (my favourite right now are the dumble lead tones), but that´s not it at all. I appreciate the whole package, it´s not just getting one or two samples, there are different distortion and sound settings from clean, edge, crunch up to lead, some mixed up with pedals. Playing in a cover band, that´s a variety to chose from. There´s a bunch of work behind all this, included a pdf explaining the sounds. Very well done, and a nice guy behind it all.Thumbs up for this!

Great sounding capture

As always amalgamcaptures delivers big time. I now use their captures almost exclusively on my QC. From crisp cleans, to great, analog sounding crunch and lead sounds. There is just everything. Highly recommended!

Dirty cleans, creamy leads and crunchy riffs. It's all here. From blues to rock. The profiles here are incredible. These are the best Dumble ODS captures that I've found for ToneX. They make me want to pour myself a nice drink after work and just jam away the night away.

Best D Style Tonex Capture

This is the best D style amp capture for tonex that I've found so far. I own a real D style clone amp and captured it... These sound better. They are now loaded in my tonex pedal. All the captures are great cleans to leads. Definately would recommend if you like D style amps. Thanks Pete Thorn for recommending their captures on Sunday Live.

Perfect for blues/jazz

I bought this pack since i am fan of Dumble style tone, low gain with warm pronounced mid frequencies. I found the captures really great, i never played the real TS1, so i can't compare with it, but i am really satisfied. Inside you have from warm Jazz tone, clean, awesome creamy crunchy and 3 stages of drives tone. The IR pack it's great too, you can also use them with some Fender captures. Thank you

Whoo Boy

This one sounds just right to me. Even the cleans are good. The selection of crunch & drive tones is superb. I think I could get about any tone I need out of just this one amp! I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. But I do.

All of these captures sound awesome and authentic. If you are looking for a particular amp sound, rest assured these captures sound like the real deal.

Really good captures!

These captures sound really good. They cover a wide range of gain and they sound like well mic'd recordings of an amp. They have none of the phase-y sound or excess proximity effect I have heard in some other captures. The only thing that keeps them from being perfect for me is that I find them to be a little bright for my taste, especially when played at or near gig volume. The WARM versions are about what I would consider balance with humbuckers and even bright with single coil pickups. I wish there were some fatter/darker captures included in the pack.

A+ Captures, IRs and support!

These captures and included IRs are simply amazing. The amount of High quality captures and IRs actually makes this pack such a worthy it deal! The documentation explains everything clearly. (such as amp settings, naming schemes, etc.) The Naming convention makes browsing through the different pack quite easy. Also, I had some trouble during the Paypal checkout phase. This thing rocks

Super impressed with this set of captures. I've tried a jazz master, strat, and Les Paul with these captures and they all sound great and cut through a mix.

100% Solid Gold!

(I tried the captures through an HSS strat) I was skeptical at first wondering how much better it could be compared to what is already in the quad cortex and whether it was worth the slightly higher price compared to patches/ IRs I have looked at in the past but damn, that skepticism left real quick. I was really impressed with the clean but once you get into edge of breakup/ drive territory, these captures really sing. I am blown away, honestly can't say enough good things about these captures. Karlis was also super patient with me and quick in responding to my emails (I still haven't quite gotten used to how files are managed in the cortex).

Unbelievable

All of the tones in this pack are great, but for me the cleans are too die for. There is a scooped clean setting that is honestly one of the most beautiful guitar sounds I've ever heard. Well deserved 5 stars

Amazing

I have purchased 8 captures this far and am so impressed, on two levels - 1. The tone of the captures is amazing - and the IRs that go with them are just perfect. I seriously can’t even believe this is a digital product!  2. Karlis,  creator of these captures, has been so great, his customer service is just stellar. I’ve had to ask a million questions over countless emails (because I am still getting up to speed on the quad cortex) and he has answered every question in great detail always within a day.  I’ve tried the Marshalls, Vox, Fender, Marchless etc and they are all great.  I don’t even use anything stock in the QC anymore! Highly recommended.

Two Rock Tone Secret

I will keep it simple. This pack is deep, professional, inspiring, and an absolute steal. Its a $5000 amp and this pack covers it all in my opinion. If you own a QC and love TONE, you owe it to yourself to get this pack!
