FNDR TWPRO 1957

FNDR TWPRO 1957

Price range: 15.00 € through 20.00 €

The 5E5-A circuit of the legendary Tweed narrow panel era is nearly identical to the one used in the Super and Bandmaster amps of the time. It embodies the quintessential Tweed tones in spades and is a suprizingly versatile amp for an amp from 1957.

This particular amp and the V-Front Tweed are our two favorites from an amp shootout that we did earlier this year in NY and that involved over 40 amps, half of which were various vintage tweeds, including Bassman, Deluxe, Bandmaster, Temolux, Harvard and many more. This and the V-Front are just gold and beat them all in every aspect.

The EQ is very (inter)active and a broad range of sounds can be dialed in. This amp sounds spectacular in clean and edge of breakup gain levels and gives a heavenly raunchy tone on higher gain levels.

The set includes 20 AMP+CAB captures ranging from clean to lead and featuring various EQ settings. Please refer to the full list of Tone Models under the product pictures.

Fantastic tone!

I knew these captures were phenomenal, but I had no idea they were so phenomenal! I found what I was looking for, and all the sounds I had before are subject to removal! Tonex has taken on a new level & meaning!

Fantastic cleans

I never had myself down as being a fan of tweed amps to be honest but after buying various captures from Amalgam (that all sound great) I decided to make a preset with all the clean balanced sounds (including some other Fenders and Two Rock) and this was my favourite. It has beautiful balanced sound and treble that is present but rounded and doesn't drift into ice-picky even if you pick hard. Just add some spring reverb and/or tremolo pedal at the end and you're all set. It takes drive and fuzz pedals beautifully too. One of my favourites for cleans for sure.

I bought quite a few captures and nothing compares to this capture. Over 50 years playing and super fussy. I can live with just this one capture for everything its that good

The liveliest 60-something you'll ever meet

This amp may date from the early days of rock and roll, but it can handle the demands of any musical era with aplomb! If you're looking for those soulful Stax cleans, Blue Note jazz warmth, or even modern fuzzy indie rock that reaches back to the garage era, this is a capture set with the ability to handle it all. The midrange sits just right to keep you right at the front of a mix, without feeling bloated in the lows or shrill in the highs. An absolute delight, especially with a telecaster.

Get all the Tweeds but if you can only get 1 this is it

Probably my favorite of the tweeds even though I love them all almost equally.  I use the cleans and the dirty and they both fit so well in everything.  If I don't have time to think I'll grab a Pro profile and go.

Amazing Captures

Perhaps my favorite set. The Warm captures in this set are really useful. With all these sets I've been surprised at how much I like the 'Dimed' captures and they are probably my favorite in this set.

Workhorse amp

If I needed only one amp, this would be the one! Most versatile amp I have ever heard. My favourite Fender clean sound, takes pedals very well. Gainier sounds boosted with pedal can make some Classic rock also. Works with both humbuckers and single coils.

Best Fender Capture EVER!!

As you can probably tell by the title of my review, this capture set is rather good! It's not often that I'm truly blown away by a guitar sound but this is truly stupendous! I was recording a track for a client in the US today and just loaded up one single capture from this set..and that was it! That was 'the sound' straightaway. No EQ, no reverb, nothing but the amp tone. Used it on 16 seperate tracks and it sounds stellar. Can't recommend this set highly enough. When I get a chance I'm going to record some videos of your captures..they are incredibly good! Amazing work yet again by you guys! :-)

Thick and Rich. Like a Perfect Milkshake.

These captures are creamy and buttery, with a really round, compressed sound. Big and warm cleans, but gets nice grit when you push it. Never harsh. I don't use Tonex to play live, but use it in the studio now instead of mic'ing amps. The Pro works so perfectly with the stuff I record (alt rock, roots rock, alt blues, heavy pop). The selection of captures in this set are well thought out and capture a HUGE range of tones. I spent a lot of time agonizing over whether to get the Tweed Pro or the V-Front Super. So, I bought both. I don’t have a favorite, they both sound like Tweeds, but between the two I can find anything I want. Keep in mind the V-Front uses two 10” speakers, and the Pro uses one 15”, and that contributes to the tonal differences. Play the free captures on ToneNET if you can’t decide!

The Best!

I don't know how a capture could sound or get better. Absolutely top notch!
