Amazing captures
I've been using this capture pack for a few weeks now. I can't quit playing it. It's an absolutely amazing set of captures. Channel 1's cleans are beautiful and serve as an excellent pedal platform. Channel 2 is great, but channel 3!!??!! Holy wow!!! Channel 3 is why we pick up a guitar in the first place! LOL.. I love this pack!

I was excited when I hear the demos...but using this or trying to get a good tone out of it...not possible. It is very much in line with the common sentiment that anything Hi gain from Amalgam, is just not as good as their clean/low gain captures. It's a bummer that we have to spend $20 many times over to find that out.

For All Your Hard Rock / 80's Metal Tones
Amazing captures. I love these for Hard Rock / 80's Metal Tones. Rolling back the volume on my guitar responds incredibly well when I want to dial back on the gain while playing. My most used capture is the MES MKV III Gain BAL CAB2. I tend to use a Tube Screamer in the front with the level at 5 and drive at 0 when I want a bit more gain.

Very clean and articulate captures. You can really hear all the nuances of the string and pick attack and articulations. Also love their free captures on Tone.net. I Will be purchasing more from Amalgam.
Great Tone for that money
After filing through all these great tones of Meas Boogies from ToneX, I still did not find the perfect match. Somehow the sounds leacked some punch or brightness. With these catputes especially combining the Marshall Box, you have something to rock with. So my recommendation for classic rock and a lot of versatility: MKV III Balanced with CAB III. Good job - Have fun and rock on.
