This amp is as close as you can get to an all in one amp without compromises. FNDR Twin style cleans, Plexi style Edge of breakup and crunch tones that go into JC800 territory and a high gain channel for the hot rodded MRSH thing that is just a roaring beast.
It even can be dialed in to be a great pedal platform akin to a Twin.
There is a reason why you will find this amp in so many backlines and countless high gain and rock acts use it as their main amp.
This amp does it all and in style, which is suprising as it is by no means an expensive amp, has no boutique halo around it – it just delivers very musical and versatile tones on all accounts.

Really, REALLY had high hopes for this one. Was sadly disappointed.
Classic British High Gain
I've bought a few Amalgam captures now but this is probably my favourite so far for high gain. I also like the Mesa MkII but it's obviously a different variety of amp. This takes me back to my first visits to the rehearsal rooms where this was often the amp available which was quite a bit louder than my little Peavey Transtube at home. I could happily jam away on this all day and it's also interestingly the first capture that I also enjoyed playing through headphones too which always feels like a compromise for us guitarists used to feeling the sound hit our chest as well as our ears. These captures in general are all great and I suspect I'll eventually buy them all as I have no self control and am a completist but they are money well spent and significantly cheaper and smaller than owning the real thing!
Sounds just like my 2000
I've owned a JCM2000 TSL122 since around 2007, and this is as close to the real thing as it gets. The sleeper here is the clean, it sounds killer with my Les Paul packed with a set of Seth Lover's. Would highly recommend this capture set.
