HWTT CUT100 1975

HWTT CUT100 1975

Price range: 15.00 € through 18.00 €

The most iconic amp of the legendary HWTT series, the CUT100 was used by some of the biggest acts of the late 60’s and 70’s.

Most prominently used by David Gilmour (a slightly modified version that had the channels internally jumpered), Pete Townsend, Jimmy Page (a modified version that had the channels cascaded), Tommy Bolin, Robert Fripp and also by modern artists including Dinosaur JR, U2, Oasis and countless others.

It might be the best pedal platform amp (fuzz in particular!) out there, probably due to its very unique phase inverter stage that remains quite clean unlike most other guitar amps.

This is one of the most strong sounding guitar amps in guitar amplification history. It has an unparalleled punch, clarity, detail and cut. It is an inherently bright amp, which wors wonderfully in the mix.

It will give you some of the most pristine, balanced and clear clean tones along with smooth, but bright and detailed crunch tones that can achieve quite a bit of gain. It will bring out every detail of your instrument, style and playing and it is a wonderful canvas for layering your favorite effects on top of it.

A very distinctive, unique and musical tone. in all gain ranges.

The set consists of 30 DI captures ranging from Clean to Lead and featuring various EQ settings. Please refer to the full list of captures unter the product pictures.

Amazing!

Solid, warm tones. Very clear and easy to use scenes. By adding modulation effects, delays and reverb you can get any sound you want… especially classic and progressive rock. Great.

Big Smooth

Up to this point, I have relied on the big cleans of the DZ AC80. The HWTT CUT100's clean tones are just as nice. To my ears, they differ in the uppers and mids considerably and the bass seems a little firmer as well as smoother. All these characteristics make it an extremely righteous pedal platform. Driven, the amp plays like a meatier plexi, but again, pedals speak pretty clearly through it. I've noticed that an Electric Mistress can be a little peaky sounding through certain distorted amps, but through the CUTT100 , it retains that gooey lusciousness that its known for. You should be aware, however, that the more you drive it the less room you are going to have dialing back a clean with your volume knob. Over all, I think this is an exceptional capture set and I highly recommend it. Also, its super cool that Robert Fripp was mentioned in the description. Normally when you read about the DR103 and its devotees, Fripp is often omitted despite the fact that he is one of the early innovators of the 'pedal platform' approach.

Terrific!

The clean balanced capture alone is worth the price of admission. Takes dirt pedals like a champ Used my ocd pedal and nailed Gilmours between two poles lead tone ! Very well done

Amazing

“ It will give you some of the most pristine, balanced and clear clean tones along with smooth, but bright and detailed crunch tones that can achieve quite a bit of gain. It will bring out every detail of your instrument”: 100% true, even the Purple Fane IR that comes with the capture is really good and balanced. This are clean tones to die for.
