Excellent!

Just the best capture I’ve ever heard.

Sheer perfection

These are truly magical feelings under the fingers. Just invites hours and hours of playing, with both of the IRs supplied. I thought I didn't really enjoy EVM12Ls but whatever way it was mic'd up by Karlis it has incredible punch and cut. You can really do a bit of everything with these, but for me in particular, these nail the less gainy 90s Petrucci sound and 70s-80s Lukather. I'm still loving these just as much as the V2 amps I have from Amalgam at the moment, so no need to wait!

This really makes your QC come to life!

Love the captures, the bass - which is always hard - is absolutely bang on! Loving this pack - so worth the money. If I had to give some constructive feedback - it would be - I wish there were more 5 band positions than just V variations like a one less 80 Hz and more 250 Hz - would cover a lot of songs. Easy to dial in with a Para Eq. But just some constructive feedback :)

Best yet?

All the Amagam Audio captures I have downloaded have been good but these may be the best yet. Mesa Model's and captures rarely capture the depth of texture these amps can produce. They are not just saturated, high gain monsters and have a really complex tone. This set of captures is hands down the best model/capture of the amp I've played through.

Awesome amp, very solid and clear sounding at high and low gay

Fender amps are my go to historically and I have a Lot of the capture packs offered here. This Mesa is my favorite so far surprisingly. It has some high gain options, but the cleans sound excellent too. All of the options have this solid clear voice that is really appealing. A lot of fun to play. Less of a “it’s THAT specific classic sound” and more something that just works very well. Sits in the mix but sounds good on its own, big but not too much. High fidelity sounding. It is just really cool.

Another surprisingly great capture

I tried Neural's plugin for this amp and never really gelled with it but this capture just sounds great. The cleans are brilliant and nicely balanced but I particularly enjoy the higher gain sounds this produces. A different style from that which you'll get from the JCM series but I think compliment it perfectly and are much better than the stock ones on your QC. Another great job here - buy it already!

Crystal Clean Massive Gain

I play a Mesa Boogie Mark V in the bandroom in IIC+ mode and at home I use these captures on my QC. The sound is exactly the same! Great job!

OMG this is insane!

Now we are talking! I was hooked with the cab captures but these DIs with the Tonemission's IRs gave me the tone even JP would be jealous of. Tone chasing ends here! Thanx Amalgam. You are the holy grail of Tone!

Killer!

Bought the MES MKIIC+ 1984 QC Essential CAB and was really happy. Had some questions regarding the input gain and the support was amazing! Saw that de DI captures are even better then the CAB ones, so I decided to buy this one and I can definitly confirm that. These DI captures are killer. Especially the high gain tones, amazing. Thank you!

Almost as good as the real thing

Yet another great set of captures from Amalgam! The tones and playing feel are very realistic indeed. Nothing beats cooking tubes but this is very close and provides a wonderful playing experience for those of us who don't have the original at hand.

Once again, on top of their game!

I play Amalgam Audio captures since they first appeared on the Quad Cortex scene. I own most of their MRSH, FNDR, CRR, FMAN, MTCH, TRCK and some others. I really mainly on their Di captures for my captures and their product became the scale on which I evaluate captures. To me, what was missing the most was a nice High Gain amp (such as this Mesa and I guess, a JCM800). I had some spare time today and I went through the capture with a lot of pleasure. I lost track of time playing and I feel like I'm gonna include a couple Mesa captures in my patches in the upcoming days! Outstanding work again!

These captures are amazing and I can recommend those to everyone! The amlgamcapture guys really understand their craft and this will definitly not be my last buy here.

Sounds of Heaven

Keef Richards, Steve Lukather, that Brad guy from Night Ranger. Oh, and that Master of Puppets album. It's all here. I knew these profiles would be good and these are up there with my favorites. You get that tight Boogie clean, original 12 inch included, to overdrive and beyond with stacks. Ganiacs rejoice. Amen!

Very well done capture

I like that pack it's so universal. From clean to higain, it's all in. With different settings for the tone, it fits very well to different kind of pickups and guitars.

Best QC capture so Far

This capture Is extremely accurate, low gain sounds amazing, little bit breake when you pick loud, middle AND high gain sounds really increíble, sustain, lot of gain, perfect mid range, punchy sound but never artificial or compressed, sounds really amazing.

MES MKIIC+ thumbs up

These captures of AMP+CAB for quad cortex are really a step up. This amp sounds so articulate and dynamic, and on my Les Paul it's a dream to play. This ones my favourite so far

Just Stunning

It's the best MkII available on QC - period. And I've tried them all. The drive captures are absolutely brutal but with perfect tone and never harsh. The lead capture cuts through the mix like butter.

Legendary Mesa Tones

An amp that needs no introduction. Simply amazing captures of this legendary Mesa amp. From beautiful cleans to high octane gain its all hear. I've been mostly using the Lead Bright capture with a bit of overdrive in the front for high gain tones. I've used this capture for recording and it sits so well defined in the mix. Extra thanks to Amalgamaudio for being able to acquire and deliver the DRGX version of the IIC+.

The Best Mesa Boogie ????

Fantastic amps it sounds very different from a Mesa Rectifier thunder a more precise side with less intrusive bass much more controlled and ranging from Rock to Metal sounds, this Amps in its arsenal can quickly put the ???? and play for hours on it be careful all the same this amp does not really have a very clean sound, it crunches quickly enough, the CABs are well restored, nothing to say about it, except as usual the care given to the captures and always so masterful ????

KIller Mesa captures

In stead of writing a review for all the captures ( Yes, I own all the captures! ). I'll get to the main benefit, to me, of amalgam audio's work. They are ALL 100% recording ready. The captures fit seamlessly into productions with very little processing. A huge timesaver when it comes to getting world class sounds. The captures take humbuckers and single coils equally well. Absolutely outstanding work. The best captures for the TONEX platform imo.

Excellent capture of this legendary MB amp!

Somehow I knew this capture set would be very good and it certainly didn't disappoint! I used one of these exact amps many years ago in a studio in the UK and this set reminds me exactly why I fell in love with the amp back then. It's very detailed and touch responsive and the clean and EOB tones especially (my main tone preferences) are beautifully captured making them a joy to play. The lead tones are of course stellar as well. I'm right in the middle of a batch of recordings for a client in the US and I'm already this evening re-amping to make use of this set!
