FMAN SM50 2021 DI + IR

I just bought 5 amp-captures (friedman, marshall, fender, tworock, toneking) and I am literally blown away by all of them.

I am new to the quad cortex; I was looking for something to make things easier (I used a Mesa TC50 Head and a huge pedalboard) and was ready to make a little loss in sound quality in comparison to the real tube amp for the advantage of less weight. I already tried free captures and they were good. But I admit amalgamcaptures are the same or better than the real thing. Its all there: feel and sound and response; whats missing (and this is a good thing too): the dirt channels are less noisy. So to sum it up: I couldnt believe that this is already possible and coulndt be happier!

Can't stop playing with this capture..

With so many captures, it can be hard to quickly separate the good from the bad. I decided to purchase some packs from Amalgam Audio - and wow, I haven't regretted it! This Friedman capture pack has been getting all my attention since I bought it. It has fantastic tones and integrates so well with other devices in my signal chain. It's always fun when new tones inspire you to play. I can highly recommend it. Great work Amalgam Audio!

Good but I would liked with CABs separated

Its great, but to me its not really useful after all as I use a guitar CAB. I would have liked it with the CAB as IR and without cab in the profile.

A freaking rawk machine

Crunch tones for DAYS, spandex, long hair, 80's gooey goodness lovers, this one's for you. Southern rock, hard rock, etc. Very cool capture. I use it with either a Mesa OS 412 or Marshall M25, both from york audio, HPF 100hz, LPF between 4 and 6khz.

So dynamic!

I play mostly rock and metal but played an entire evening with the edge of breakup sounds only because they are so nice and dynamic! The lead captures also provide a fantastic sound. Overall the best captures of an amp on the QC i have tried.

Top Sounds Out Of The Box

I got the captures yesterday evening and tomorrow morning after an early breakfast I started trying them.... and kept playing and playing and playing.... For me they sound great, real classic rock sounds, I look forward playing them with my band. There is no need in big tweeking, they sound right out ouf the box. I like the various stages of distortion along with the different settings of sound. The sounds are responsive, react to my playing. Again, a very good package! Keep up that quality!!

Brilliant. Used with my poweramp and cab. Hardly any tweaking. Sounds killer!

Great rock amp !

With humbucker equipped guitar: -Great fat clean sound when I lower the gain on clean captures to -12. -Very good Classic rock sounds on channel I and good modern hard rock sounds (boosted with a pedal) on channel II and with Vintage 30 speaker IR. -Equally good at rhythm and lead sounds -My new favourite Classic rock/hard-rock machine!

The Best Quality Premium Capture

Very good capture (if not the best in the world of Quad Cortex) made with particular care with different master volume and gain equalization settings which therefore provides different voicings to adapt to several styles of music or types of guitars the choice is quite large I really recommend very good work ????

Out of the box

I was missing something with the QC. I thought it sounded good but not perfect. Then I bought this and it was magic right out of the box! Didn't have to tweak a lot, it just sounded so good and fitted perfect in the band mix right away. Thank you!

These were the missing link for me

My first reason to move in to QC world was to avoid carryinh around my VHT Pittbull CL 100W combo. It is heavy! Second reason was to get my ears on amplifiers i couldn’t otherwise afford. These captures and IR:s wete last missing thing to achieve my dreams. These are fenomenal. And i believe very truthfull caotures. They’re made perfectly to zero point where you can start to sculpture your own tonal perfection. I absolutely love them. I bought five different setups for the price i wouldn’t allowed even look at those amps. Highly recomended.

Finally tried this one - really smooth great OD. Just like a real one, like the Marshall ones just without the characteristic Marshall bite to smoother

Great tone!

These captures are amazing! Although I'm not the biggest fan of the included IRs, I use the amp captures with some York Audio Marshall V30 IRs and they just fits these amp captures perfectly. By far some of the best captures I have come across and trust me, I tried a lot of them.

Great captures

I haven't tried a real FMAN, but the sound of these captures are simply great. Will definitely be my go-to for rock/hard rock tones. The cleans are really nice as well. I can recommend following the pdf guide and turn down the input gain on the QC - improved my tone quite a lot as my humbuckers are quite high output.

This capture set covers a huge tonal range, from classic rock to balls out hotrodded marshall! Grab your HB loaded weapon of choice and lose yourself! This is my go-to pack for higher gain tones!
