Pretty ok.

Phenomenal!

These tones are warm and full of tonality out of the box. They are responsive to my playing, just a pleasure to listen to (the tones, not my playing). The clean or edged with some chorus make a wonderful sound. There is a video with some examples, there you can see, what you get. I just can underline what is said there, great tones which are so much pleasure to plasy with!

I don't know what to say... I love Two-Rock amps and this one gives you that Mayer sound. Once again, it's perfectly captured and the DI pack is a great value.

Another Step Up

I've been using the TRK SSS captures from amalgam for a while and the TCLs have really blown me away. Very rich lead tones and it definitely captures the vibes people want for that SRV/Mayer feel. These captures and the quality of IRs are getting extremely close to tones that used to be unobtanium. Stick a clean boost in the FX loop of your quad (or grab a drive from the new alagam pedal captures on offer) and you're deep into ton town.

The best clean amp?

This is a great amp for clean tones. It can do crunch and edgy too, but I dig the cleans. Pedals in front works great. So real. This my go to amp. Thx Amalgam

Awesome

Today I bought The Two Rock TCL /SSS/and OD50 DI captures for my new aquired Tonex pedal/Tonex Max Software. 3 for the price of 2, a bargain. The pedal is on its way but I already installed the software. I already own a few good Tube Amps ( Fender, Victory V40 Deluxe, Marshall JMP 50W MK2 combo ) and I wanted to know how profiling is involved in the last few years. I never thought that this technology is evolved that far. I'm a Two Rock amps lover but they were always too expensive for me. Amalgam.....heads off, they are spot on!!! I wanted some good captures and searching in Tonenet for days isn't my hobby. I buyed the DI captures to try out with my own Victory power amp/Cab for getting that Two Rock vibe with my own setup for variation. I'm very satisfied so far. Thank you Amalgam !

Clean with a bit of punch

Another fine capture. I have bought three different capture sets and they are all spot on. I never thought I would have such good tone amps at my disposal.

I'm going to post the same review for the TRCK series because they are all KILLER. Just amazing captures of 3 excellent amps. So many usable tones for recording, Brilliant!

Lively and a joy to play and record.

***This review is mostly about my experience with Amalgam’s captures and holds true for every purchase I’ve made. They describe the tone better than I could, so check out the description, but I will say this amp is fantastic with my Epiphone Casino. These are not just another software amp to add to your endless list of amp plugins. This is an amp. Not literally, of course, but they play, react and sound exactly like an amp. And I mean, EXACTLY. If you’re worried you won’t be able to continuously tweak all the tone controls to find the “perfect” tone, don’t. Amalgam has an uncanny ability to get the best out of these amps, and I've never found myself wanting or needing to make further adjustments. I should also note that I’m no longer using 3rd party IRs. Most IRs I’ve tried sound flat, lifeless, or 2D to my ears. Amalgam’s do not. These sound lively and capture the air and space around a cabinet better than any other IRs I’ve tried. I do, however, miss the longer “Room” IRs that come with the Extended sets because I like being able to blend the two. But I assume that’s something we’ll see again if there are extended capture sets for some of the more recent Essentials releases. Amalgam has done everything right and exceeded all my expectations. Do your tone a favor and check out some of the capture sets. Thank you, Amalgam, for another stunning amp

The JM Tone

As a big Mayer fan I have tried many different black face type amps and some black face captures, Dumble captures, etc. When I purchased and downloaded this TRCK TCL Essentials pack, the first I played (that I always do to test for THE JM tone) on my Strat was ‘Slow Dancing in a Burning Room’ - BOOM! It was all there! Love it, so stoked we can own this beautiful ’virtual amp’. Thank you Amalgam for making this capture happen and for listening to your user base. You guys are the best in the market 100%.
