One of our most requested amps by many, many customers, Andy Timmons fans in particular.
This is a really hot piece of equipment. Both channels are really well tuned fro what they have to do – Nr. 1 taking on the duties for cleans, edge of breakup and some crunch as well as WONDERFUL pedal platform capabilities. Channel 2 continues where Nr. 1 left off.
Gainier and tighter crunch tones and wonderful overdrive and lead tones with the Drive circuit engaged.
The EQ is very responsive at all times and you can go from a bright and cutting tone to something more balanced and to some beautiful Andy Timmons style darker and warmer tones that are a huge part of his tone.
The amp was captured with both the EL34 (for authentic Timmons tones) and with the stock 6L6 tubes.
A wonderful amp that can do it all with a bit of modern american/Fender-style flavor, but with a more polished and robust voice that will rival any Dumble any time of the day on the lead channel and with its exceptional pedal platform capabilities.
The set features 36 full captures of the amp through a 2X12 Matchless cab with Celestion VIntage V30 speakers. The mics used were 2x Royer R121, a Beyerdynamic M160 and a Neumann U87. Please refer to the full list of included captures in the product photo section.

Spectacular All-Arounder
Most of the time, I gravitate toward the Crunch captures, but with the LS I love the LSI Edge BAL! I do use a 112 Black Shadow IR purchased elsewhere. The end result is spectacular. This is my goto for anything I want to do that gives me an 80s vibe (Tears for Fears, Sting, etc.), running in stereo, etc. Love this!
Excellent captures
Another wonderful set of captures from AA. I keep getting that desert island sound from the most recent V2 captures. These captures could be all I need on my island paradise. Somehow Karlis has made these captures sound huge but totally manageable, My fave Mesa pack from AA.
The swiss army knife
Another great capture set, that could be your lonely island pack. If I just can take one pack, this would probably it. While the BadCat 30 has more of a special character, this does it all. From very clean tones, that rival any dumble or fender I have tried to roaring leads and cutting overdriven sounds. It's just all there and it takes pedals very good. It has a nice crunch/overdrive on it's own, but it is a excellent pedal plattform. The Badcat 30 is still my favorite right now, but I'm very intrigued by the range and versatility of this amp. If you want a pack, that does it all, sounds great and takes just everything you throw at it with ease, get this pack. You may never need anything else.

Remarkable!
Love Andy Timmons tones? Me too and these captures cover the tones remarkably. I could listen to these tones for days. All you need is a little delay and reverb to finish these captures off. This will be my go to preset for a while. Channel 1 covers the clean and edge sounds while channel 2 has your lead tones covered. Best money I have ever spent on captures.

I picked up Amalgam Audio’s Quad Cortex capture pack of the Mesa Boogie Lonestar Classic 100-watt, and honestly… it’s everything I hoped the Lonestar would be inside the QC, and then some. Amalgam absolutely nailed what makes this amp so special. The big, three-dimensional cleans are here in full force: warm, bell-like top end, tight lows, and that sweet mid character that makes pedals feel like they’re part of the circuit. Throw in some overdrives, and the captures respond exactly like the real head, touch-sensitive, open, and musical. The gain captures are just as impressive. The Lonestar’s drive is notoriously hard to profile, yet this pack delivers that chewy, expressive breakup with zero weird artifacts. Whether I’m playing low-gain bluesy grit or pushing into fat sustain, it feels authentic, dynamic, and inspiring. It’s the kind of pack that makes you forget you’re playing a capture. Totally recommend to anyone.

This capture delivers a solid, punchy clean tone and a perfect drive. Warm, dynamic, and incredibly responsive. It also works beautifully as a pedal platform, handling everything I throw at it with clarity and depth.
