Well, this is it – an original 1963 (SIC!) FNDR Black Face DLX Rebverb, pre CBS era. Entirely original apart from some changed filter caps. It is an amp that has been used literally by almost every big act at some point in time, at the least in one of the many studios where this amp used to be one of the standards.
It has been used in practically any genre and playing style and is extremely versatile.
The cleans and edge of breakup sounds are an incarnation of the archetypical sound of a FNDR BF amp that we have in our heads since the 60’s until this day. It plays nicely with single coils and brings out the most stratty sound of a Strat, while it is also phenomenal with Humbuckers, where it can do anything from beautiful clean jazzy chords up to proper rock crunch.
It also takes pedals marvelously and in contrast to most other amps it is very generous in regard to the ease with which it can be dialed in for pedals – unlike many other amps where you have to dial things in per milimeter to get the tone right, this one has a wide range of nice settings that work well.
Due to its flexibility and the two channels, as well as its popularity, this set is larger than usual. The main accent is on the cleaner side of things with more variations, but also gainier stuff has a nice variation too.
The amp was tracked through the built in Oxford 12K5-6 speaker, the mics used are 2X Royer R121, 1X Beyerdynamic M160 and 1X Neumann U87.

Amazing low/mid gain profiles
This pack sounds incredible. Hands down the best low-mid gain sounds I've ever heard in my 10 years of owning a kemper. I've always struggled to get good low-mid gain sounds, especially with single coils. With your pack, I didn't have to touch a knob, it was just spot on from the outset. The way you tailor the profiles to suit different guitars and EQ arrangements is very well thought out.
One of the best
Big fan Deluxe Reverbs (having owned and gigged them extensively), so was very happy to see this one released for ToneX. I recently switched to Quad Cortex, so now have DI versions and full captures on both. The DI workflow is a lot quicker on Quad Cortex than ToneX hardware, so am finding myself auditioning IR’s with the DI captures more than before. Lose yourself in classic Fender clean and breakup tones, you can’t go wrong with this one.

absolutely amazing
Please note first that I‘ve used only the DI parts of the rigs and combined them with my own IRs in studio. For me the liquid Kemper packs are amazing. They are extensive, very versatile, sound great and in combination with my IRs it feels like playing the real amp. The documentation is also very good. They are absolutely worth the price. Double thumb up from my side. I want definitely more.

The UAFX Dream 65 sounds terrific.... but it ain't this good or this on point. I have played a lot of old DRs, and let me tell you, this is the real deal. Highly recommend this and the expansion.

Really enjoying these. All o can say is that I appreciate the time that has been put into making these. I have never had these amps, however it responds to my guitar like I feel it would as if I have owned them in real life. Thank you for all you do. Big gorgeous sound
This is a killer Deluxe Reverb capture set. The low end is totally faithful to the DR sound. Beautiful warm top end. Cleans are sweet and the drives are sublime. Even the Dimed captures are useful when dialed back a bit. Very versatile pack with almost twice as many captures than othe CAB packs..
